As for food, you will find the Restaurant Georges, which is not only known for their tasty food, but their architectural design. For convenience, fast food eateries are located on the first and second levels.

The Centre Pompidou is also home to regularly scheduled special events. These events include concerts, traveling art shows, contests, and much more.

The history of the Centre Pompidou begins in 1968. The project was ordered by then French president Georges Pompidou, hence the name of the center. His goal was to create a large center in the heart of Paris that relied on modern architecture. Doors were first opened to the public in 1977. Not long after, a new renovation project began. The center was once again opened to the public in January of 2000. The renovations made included an expansion of space for the museums.
